Not all cleaning service providers are the same. Depending on the structure of the business there can be a considerable difference in overheads.
Green Squirrel Cleaning is a cleaning company.
We believe additional overheads are necessary to provide excellent cleaning services time after time.
"A couple of years ago we went on holiday and wanted our cleaner to come once whilst we were away so that the house was clean for us to come home to. They agreed but then never showed up even though I had already paid her. When questioned she said she forgot! When she did next come she had also forgotten she had already been paid and insisted that it was me that was wrong. I paid her again to get her to leave and told her not to come back. "We've used 2 agencies for our cleaning over the years and they were both the same. Don't take any responsibility for the quality of work their contractors produce. When we made a small complaint they acted like we were causing trouble for them! It wasn't a big deal and I wasn't that upset about it, I just wanted to make sure it didn't happen again. When Laura from Green Squirrel Cleaning came to meet us she was really upfront and honest and simply said if there is ever anything however small or silly it may seem just let her know. "We had a cleaner from an agency for just over a year. She was great and they were great to deal with until the lady decided to get a different job. We didn't get told until the afternoon the day before our next service that someone new would be coming. I wasn't happy because I had plans the next day and would have liked to be home to meet the new person and show them around. I asked why I wasn't told sooner and they told me it was their policy to wait until a contractor has finished before informing their clients of the replacement so as to avoid the risk of losing the client. Their contractors were forbidden to say anything to the clients too. Maybe if they treated their workers with respect and didn't assume they would take clients with them when they leave maybe they wouldn't be leaving. Belinda, Sunshine |
Being a cleaning person or working for an agency can seem great at first, choose your own hours and work how you want to.
But overtime they realise they would be financially better off being employed.
Not to mention the emotional and mental strain the reality of this type of work can bring.
Eventually the result is always the same.
The individual finds better employment, standards/ work ethic aren't high enough or the agency sends someone you don't like.
In the end it's always the client that loses out.

Our cleaning services are charged per property not on a hourly basis. This ensures that we always have the time to complete all the cleaning tasks required.
Life can get busy and sometimes the kitchen is in worse shape than normal or you haven't had the time to tidy up the kids toys the night before!
We don't ever want to have to leave a property unfinished because the client only requested 2 hours and we have another client to get to.
Property consultations are a valuable tool to assess your home from a professional perspective.
There's no need to clean like crazy beforehand, we are not there to judge. We would actually prefer it if you didn't! We want to see your home at it's worst so we can help you keep it at it's best.
